Norfolk, NE – Norfolk Country Club played host to the opening event and first Nebraska Junior Golf Premier event of the season, presented by GolfTEC Omaha. Along with the regular stops on the Nebraska Junior Golf Tour, NJG offers Premier events each season that focus on the more accomplished golfer with set-up and administration similar to a championship competition. The Norfolk Country Club Premier event is the first of five Premier events on the 2020 Nebraska Junior Golf Tour schedule.
In the boys 12-13 division, Omaha’s Coltrane Mittag won after shooting a 75 (+3). In the girls 14-15 division, Lincoln’s Tatum Terwilliger won the age group after finishing at 87 (+15). In the boys 14-15 division, Omaha’s Trey Ruge topped the rest of the field after shooting a 78 (+6). Then, in the girls 16+ division, Omaha’s Julia Karmazin shot a 77 (+5) to win the division. Lastly, in the boys 16+ division, Lincoln’s Geran Sander finished with a 76 (+4) round to win the division.
